Slot Cars Racing once was the most popular hobbies in the world, with more raceways than Subways at some point. Things have changed, but the passion still strong. With incredible models coming from across the globe, racing today is a much more enjoyable activity due to the cars’ reliability, room for adjustments, and the attention to detail on ready-to-run 1/32 and 1/24 scale models. Electric Dreams is the world’s biggest slot car store, around since the early ’90s, and everybody is a petrolhead. Kristin, our Customer Service Manager, was in Le Mans at the age of 13 following his father’s winning Nissan 300ZX. Marco, our Creative Director, races slot cars since he was 10, made a feature documentary about endurance racing and works as a photographer on F1 and Indy events. Scott, the boss, is a vintage racer with an extensive car collection, including Ronnie Peterson’s F1 March and a Chuck Parson’s Lola CanAm.
