Germany may have been the first to scribble down the hot hatch recipe, but as with any dish, it was the French that later perfected it. Save the arguing for whether the 1.6L or 1.9L is the superior experience, but no matter what you buckle into, there are few compacts as compelling to grab by the scruff of the neck than this lion.
